Last updated: April 28, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of the Ad Removerbrowser extension (“the Extension”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) regarding information when you use the Extension, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Ad Remover is a Chrome browser extension that automatically removes advertisement elements and skips video ads on supported websites. The list of supported websites may grow over time as new sites are added to the extension.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

Extension: refers to Ad Remover, the Chrome browser extension described in this document.
Device: means any device that can access the Extension such as a computer or laptop running the Chrome browser.
Personal Data: is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Local Storage: refers to browser storage used by the Extension to save settings and usage statistics locally on your Device.
You: refers to the individual accessing or using the Extension.

Data Collection

We Do Not Collect Personal Data

Ad Remover does not collect, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information. The Extension operates entirely within your browser and does not communicate with any external servers.

Local Storage Only

The Extension stores the following data locallyon your Device using Chrome's chrome.storage API. This data never leaves your browser:

Enabled state — whether the Extension is turned on or off.
Skip Ads preference — whether automatic ad-skip is enabled.
Supported website list — the list of websites the Extension is allowed to run on. This list may expand as new sites are added in future updates.
Per-site ad removal statistics — a local count of how many ad elements have been removed per website domain, used only for display in the Extension popup.

Required Permissions

Ad Remover requests the following browser permissions. Each permission is used solely to provide the ad-removal functionality:

storage: to save your settings and local usage statistics on your Device.
activeTab: to read and modify the content of the currently active browser tab in order to remove ad elements.
scripting: to inject the ad-removal script into supported web pages.
tabs: to detect tab changes and update the ad-count badge displayed on the Extension icon.
Host permissions (supported websites): the Extension only runs on explicitly listed websites. Additional websites may be added in future versions as support expands.

Supported Websites

The Extension is currently configured to remove ads on the following websites. This list will grow over time as additional sites are added based on user needs:

037-hddmovie.com
subserieshd.com

The Extension only activates on sites explicitly listed in the manifest. It does not run on any other websites unless a new version is released that adds additional sites.

How the Extension Works

When you visit a supported website, Ad Remover:

Scans the page DOM for elements matching known ad selectors (by class name, ID, or iframe source).
Removes matched elements directly from the page.
Automatically clicks “Skip Ad” buttons on video players when they become available.
Continues monitoring the page for dynamically injected ad elements using a MutationObserver.
Updates a local removal counter displayed as a badge on the Extension icon and in the popup.

All processing happens locally within your browser. No page content, URLs, or personal information is sent to any server.

Third-Party Services

Ad Remover does not integrate with, or send data to, any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The Extension has no backend server and makes no outbound network requests.

Security

Because Ad Remover stores all data locally on your Device and does not transmit any information externally, the security of your data is governed by your browser and operating system security settings. We do not have access to any data stored by the Extension.

Children's Privacy

Ad Remover does not address anyone under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The Extension does not collect personal data from users of any age.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly when new websites are added to the Extension's supported list or when new features are introduced. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top.

Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
